So I’ve been playing poker. My style is quite conservative as I only bluff 1/20 or so which is quite low. I also don’t like the pre-flop all-ins unless I have two high face cards or a high pocket pair, even then i’m hesitant.
I’ve been tracking my play as I play about 4 or 5 times a week for about 30-60min each. Usually I blog while playing so I don’t really pick up any tendancies from anyone.
Yesterday I saw a royal flush, that was pretty crazy. Anyway, here is my progress.

Horry is insane; I love that he fearlessly dunks over someone and then the next play shoots the 3 even though the play was to someone else. For those who don’t know what Robert Horry has done, he has 2 rings with Rockets and 3 with the Lakers. Once he gets this ring he will have as many as MJ. (more…)
Custom A&A
0So my friends and I have played Axis and Allies maybe 30 or 40 times. Long ago, we abandoned the traditional rules and started following a set of the my brother looked up on the internet. We’ve constantly added strange things and tweaked with other things. A week or so ago, we made some more drastic changes. It is no longer Axis and Allies but rather a 3 way onslaught with equal footing and total disregard to any historical or geographical realism.
I decided to see what kind of house rules people have made for Axis and Allies and have concluded that people are history nerds and have no imagination. All the rules seems to revolve around different war periods and lame slight modifications to the traditional 2 vs 3 Axis vs Allies rules.
Here’s a link for an open source (nerds rejoice!) axis and allies game that might be interesting. I’m not sure if it would allow customization to the extreme that we take it to, but it’s open source so maybe I’ll just hack it in.

0So obviously I have advertisements on the right bar. I was determining if these are worth while. Here are my test results.
adbrite 14 clicks 400 hits = $1.05
google 44 clicks 1400 hits = $0.99
I’m not sure how smart the adbrite ones are if I can click the same ones every day but they are obviously seriously more profitable. If you want to give me a quarter or so, click all the adbrite (poker) ads. In firefox use your middle mouse button (press on the scrollwheel) to open them all in new tabs, then close all the tabs once they are finished loading.
