Ponderous
later
0One of my favorite things is forgetting about something. Delayed surprise gratification
Today I decided to buy a pepsi with my meal, but then just put it in my pocket. About an hour ago i’m like, whoa! a pepsi! I do it with other things, like I’ll buy a twix, eat one, put the other one away. Later i’ll be like… man that was a good twix, bam! I can have another one.
But its got to be more than just candy. I do it with ebay clothes too. I think… ooh this looks good, and its cheap, ‘order’. Then a few weeks later when it gets to me across the ocean I get this parcel in the mail. Oh ya! awesome!
Also, on a larger scale still. Its a bit harder. I mean to get something large and substantial, it will cost more than a few bucks. Serious investment needs to be made. I gave one of my favorite people some money so she could get a visa for her job in europe. I don’t hear as much from her as I’d like, and I’m not even sure what will happen later, but I expect to also recieve a positive report as a return on my investment. I don’t know what it is, so its also going to be a surprise.
Still, I think this type of ‘later’ mentality is really prudent. I’ve done it in the past with putting the effort in studying, not really knowing if it was worth it until I get that ‘decent enough’ mark back. Or putting the effort into getting a degree… I don’t know what will happen with that. Too many times I have things where I know what the return will be, like going to a week of camp will be awesome always. So then when there are things that might be more of a surprise or unknown, how many times do I ignore it and let the opportunity pass?
Of course not every time is a big hit. Sometimes the chocolate bar gets forgotten and leaves a melted gooey mess.
A pink dilemma
1I have taken steps in favor of pink before and yet I feel torn when another pink choice is infront of me.
I purchased a white Nintendo DS Lite (think fancy gameboy) but lost it foolishly.
I replaced it with a black one, but it had a dead pixel.
I exchanged that for another black one, but the touch screen didnt work.
Now, I go back to exchange again, and black nor white are in stock. But pink is in stock.
I can go back to exchange this pink one if i leave it in the box (or it is defective) but I’m so tired of this game
I think my concern is that in no way is this a manly pink nor was it ever designed for men whereas my pink shirts are mens shirts. What you say?

look or be
0Would you rather look smart or be smart?
Would you rather look strong or be strong?
Would you rather look healthy or be healthy?
Would you rather look happy or be happy?
Would you rather look like someone’s friend or be someone’s friend?
Hazardous territory redux
0I think i missed the ending, let’s try this again
When is it being careful and when is it being idle?
When is it being bold and when is it being reckless?
12Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. 13Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. 14And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.
Hazardous territory

When is it being bold and when is it being reckless?
Tact + guts.
Broken window
0I found this stimulating and on something that comes up every day. Even though I hadn’t really thought about it enough to reach conclusion the article presented it sides well enough that i now can form a conclusion.
It is regarding make-work projects and other good stuff in economics.

pendulum sexism
0Today’s quote of the day is…
Whatever women do they must do twice as well as men to be thought half as good. Luckily this is not difficult.
- Charlotte Whitton
Which i find insulting. I can understand that there are men who don’t respect women in the workplace, but i don’t see how going too far the other way and insulting men solves anything.
This concludes this tidbit the opinion from the white anglo saxon protestant male.
so help me God
0I recognize “so help me God” is said in jest, but does it have to be?
It seems like a good thing to have on one’s mind.
Three things
3Licking stamps and envelopes will never be the same after Seinfeld. It is on my list of fears, below wigs and Apple (the company, not the fruit)
I used to think the effort people put into walking quickly corresponded to how important they were, but i realize this is not true.
Walking effort is directly related to how important people think they are.
Lastly, tears are salty! Mmm!
An apple and seeds
0Few things are more primal than eating an apple
And yet without concentration, you can end up with a mouth full of seeds.
