0Are some people useless or skilled in traits that are less valued by society?
I don’t think it is fair to say that everyone’s total skill is equal in sum, because if i improve in my cross country skiing, my rifle shooting skill, doesnt deplete. I suppose some skills are developed and maintained with time and time is a universal resource. Nobody has more time than another. even if you keep travelling west, and you keep gaining an hour, that international date line will really screw you over.
If you develop skill at a faster rate, then you are a blessed person, and it might be the best use of your time to continue.
If you do not have a fast rate, then doubling efforts might be necessary, with both perserverance and humility needed in order to keep pace.
So to the people who many might seem worthless, do they lack perserverence + humility to apply themself in areas they are slow to learn? Or are they just so incredibly disadvantaged that they will never catch up? I guess a generalization I might make from my observational experience is that lack of skill is most often misguided direction or a lack of willpower.
Unicode and the world unknown
0Linguistics is weird, not because I want to know how to form my mouth to make sounds, but because they use crazy names and symbols for things.
A close-mid back unrounded vowel is a type of vowel sound, ɤ, called “ram’s horns” I often wonder who is in charge of unicode, the “alphabet” of crazy letters and characters for many languages and weird uses including making my name look cool: ᴈ ʓ ʒ ɝ ᶔ ₃ ᶚᵘᵖ
Then I learned about the Onge language spoke on the islands of Little Andaman Island. It is an endangered language. And I realize I have no idea where Little Andaman Island or anything Andamanian, so I looked it up and found out it is separated from Rutland Island in Great Andaman by the Duncan Passage. It is home to an underlying rainforest and rare species of marine turtles. India tried to colonize it in the 60s, but gave up.

So I’m in one of those non-reality phases. I don’t know if it is a meltdown or not. It depends what you think melts, and what solidifies when these phases are over.

I love words, and ideas, mixing ideas with words, creating nonsensical ideas, contemplating truthful ideas. Normal speech, cliches, common thought, the norm, playing the game, thinking inside the box, going with the flow, are all things I fight against. Perhaps I shouldn’t always fight them. The flow isn’t always wrong, and I can’t say I am completely anti-culture, I play the game. And when I don’t, that doesn’t necessarily mean my ‘game’ is better, or truthful. As one man I am more prone to dilusion than the masses I think. But as one man with Truth on his side, and like minded thinkers fighting the fight with me, there is a better ideology than the ‘flow’ and I can find it, to some degree I have been taught it and know it already.

Based on my travels and ‘scene sampling’, I’ve come to a conclusion. My scene for picking up a lady would, far and away, be a coffee shop. Specifically second cup girls. Future wife, if a dashing charmer asks to buy you a skim vanilla bean latte, say yes, and then meet his mother, and don’t let him go. Deal?
Future me will be thankful that I have had this phase.
Floating with the wind can’t be done when you have strollers to push, flowers to buy and rims to spin.

I think they could all have validity, its all middle ground though. 10% certain or 90% certain is still not certain.
My brain is never certain, but I believe with certainty. It is a heart thing? I can’t explain because that would be a brain thing.
A peace of mind is not easily had. A peace of heart is?

stray walk
0Sometimes late, when I’m walking, I close my eyes and see how many steps i can take on the sidewalk without looking. Its dangerous I guess. I’ve gotten up to 20+ before. Usually I do it with low traffic streets. Last night I was trying again, I got up to about 16 full sized steps. But I noticed… I always drift away from the road and sometimes this causes me to run into smaller objects like fences, shrubs or tree branches.
I take such steps away from certain doom but i also lose my path and run into obstacles that stop me. But with my eyes open I can keep moving. Ponderous.
